Disneyland Resort has announced plans for a new parking structure and transportation hub. It will be built on the east side of the resort, using part of the current Manchester cast member parking lot. The new area will offer around 6,000 parking spaces, spots for shuttles and rideshares, security screening, and direct access from Disney Way. This project aims to improve parking and traffic flow around the resort.
A new pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard will also be built. It will connect guests directly to a brand-new entrance area, making it easier for visitors to arrive from Harbor Boulevard.

This project is the first step in Disneyland’s next big phase of growth.
This project is the first step in Disneyland’s next big phase of growth. The new infrastructure will support future additions to the parks, including two new rides that will double the size of Avengers Campus. Other upcoming attractions include a ride based on Disney and Pixar’s Coco and a new Avatar-themed area at Disney California Adventure.
Construction for the new arrival area is expected to begin in fall 2026. Meanwhile, work on the Coco-themed attraction will start backstage this fall, near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier.

The Avatar area will be built in the current Hollywood Backlot section of the park. This project is still in the early planning stages, and more details will be shared later.
To make room for the changes, the ride Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! will close in early 2026.
