Hong Kong Disneyland is getting ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary!
The park first opened its gates on September 12, 2005, but the celebrations will already begin in June 2025!
This summer, it’s not just Disneyland Resort in California celebrating an anniversary—Hong Kong Disneyland is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. The exact start date will be announced later, but the celebration officially kicks off in June.
Disney has already shared some exciting news. Guests can look forward to a brand-new parade Friendtastic! It will feature floats from Duffy & Friends, Encanto, Monsters Inc., Turning Red, The Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse & Friends, and more Disney films and characters that haven’t been revealed yet.
There will also be a special limited-edition version of the nighttime show Momentous, which for the first time will include drones. Plus, your favorite Disney characters will perform in a brand-new stage show in front of the castle.
Merchandise & snacks:
During a financial presentation for the resort, Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland, also shared a sneak peek at the upcoming merchandise and snacks.
Most of the merchandise is themed around Mickey & Friends, featuring plush toys in their new anniversary outfits, collectible stamps, and pins.
There will also be lots of themed food items, like Mickey-shaped snacks and cupcakes decorated with the 20th anniversary logo.
Hong Kong Disneyland has promised to reveal more details on April 17, 2025.
