Disneyland® Paris is continuing its big weatherproofing project to give guests better protection from rain, heat, and other weather.
Imagineers are working closely with the Disneyland® Paris teams to add new covered terraces and sheltered waiting areas, blending them naturally into the look and feel of the Parks.
At Disneyland® Park, Casey’s Corner will soon have a stylish covered terrace, planned to open by June 2025. It will match the Main Street, U.S.A.® theme and the restaurant’s look, with subtle baseball touches. The roof will be made of strong, weather-resistant resin. This comes just after the opening of a nearby covered kiosk. Then in 2026, the Town Square Boarding House photo spot will get a charming covered structure too, making it more comfortable for guests meeting Disney Characters.
Weatherproofing plan in Walt Disney Studios Park:
Over at Walt Disney Studios® Park, a new covered outdoor waiting area for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ will begin construction by the end of April 2025. This new space will expand the story of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, matching its unique Pueblo Deco style. Every design detail is being carefully chosen to fit the theme. More about the set and design will be shared soon.
Disney is also planning to open a new shop later this year located where the Fastpass machine for Tower of Terror used to be. Construction on the new shop also will begin in April 2025.
Even the guest car park is getting some Disney magic. As the floors are being redone, new touches are being added—like a Mickey Mouse head, in tribute to Walt Disney’s famous quote, “It all started by a Mouse,” and 23 terrazzo stars, honoring the year 1923 when The Walt Disney Company began. These stars will help guide visitors toward the Parks like pixie dust.
