Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has undergone a wickedly magical transformation with the debut of a brand-new live show: “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.” During recent cast member previews, the first images have emerged, giving fans a glimpse of this thrilling new production that’s sure to delight Disney villain enthusiasts.
The former Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy theater has been completely reimagined into the new Sunset Boulevard Theater. Guests can now enjoy the show in a beautifully themed setting, complete with newly installed, more comfortable seating that enhances the experience.
A Theatrical Encounter with Iconic Villains
The show, which runs approximately 15 minutes, brings guests face-to-face with some of Disney’s most infamous villains. Live on stage, three fan favorites make their appearance: Captain Hook, Cruella De Vil, and the iconic Maleficent. Each gets their moment in the spotlight to share their side of the story — perhaps they were misunderstood all along?
Other legendary villains such as Hades, Jafar, and the Evil Queen also make appearances, though only through dynamic screen projections. While they don’t appear live on stage, their presence still adds a powerful punch to the overall atmosphere.
Hosting the show is none other than the Magic Mirror from Snow White, acting as the narrator and guide. At the end of the performance, the Mirror turns to the audience with a provocative question: “Which villain has been treated most unfairly?” Guests are invited to vote, making for an interactive and unpredictable finale.
