Get ready, Space Mountain® fans — Disneyland Paris is preparing for liftoff with a brand-new line of exclusive collectibles. In honor of the iconic attraction’s 30th anniversary, the resort’s merchandising team has crafted a series of keepsakes.
A Tribute to a Landmark Attraction
Launched in 1995, Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune transformed the fantasy of space travel into a thrilling reality for guests visiting Discoveryland. With its steampunk-inspired aesthetic and groundbreaking technology, it quickly became a fan favorite — and still holds a special place in the hearts of Disney enthusiasts across generations.
To mark three decades of interstellar adventure, Disneyland Paris is unveiling a themed collection inspired by the attraction’s original concept. Fans will soon be able to bring home pieces of the magic, with the range expected to land in resort shops by the end of 2025.
The Iconic Columbiad Cannon, Reimagined
At the center of the collection is a meticulously detailed miniature replica of the Columbiad Cannon — the striking cylindrical launcher perched on the attraction’s roof. This symbolic piece has been reimagined as a collectible that celebrates the moment riders were “fired into space” from the cannon’s barrel.
Product developer Régis Alart, who rode the attraction during its debut year, shared his personal connection to the design:
“I was fortunate enough to experience the ride when it opened in 1995. That memory stayed with me, and I wanted to honor it by designing a piece that captures one of its most recognizable elements.”
Classic Ride Vehicles in Miniature Form
Also included in the anniversary lineup are miniature versions of the original Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune ride vehicles. These detailed models offer a nostalgic nod to the attraction’s early years and are a must-have for collectors who cherish the golden age of Disneyland Paris.
A Jumbo Key Worthy of the Stars
Coming later this summer is a jumbo-sized attraction key, designed to pay tribute to Space Mountain in grand style. With bold dimensions and packed with visual Easter eggs referencing the ride’s legacy, this oversized collectible is the perfect showpiece for fans.
Illustrator Marylène Pourcelot, who helped design the piece, explained:
“We created a key filled with subtle tributes to the attraction, all wrapped in custom packaging crafted specifically for this occasion.”
