The renovation project at Au Chalet de la Marionnette in Fantasyland has officially been completed.
The work began in September 2024 and lasted until July 2025, covering a large area—from the exit of Les Voyages de Pinocchio all the way to the restroom building near the restaurant. That’s quite a significant section of Fantasyland to undergo refurbishment.
Recently, tables and chairs have also been reinstalled on the restaurant’s entrance terrace, restoring its full outdoor seating area. Despite the ongoing work, the restaurant remained open throughout the project, only closing for a single day due to a private event.

The main focus of the renovation was replacing the roof tiles, which had previously required safety nets due to loose or unstable tiles—a detail the average guest might not even notice. This roofing issue has been a long-standing challenge in Fantasyland. Disney has been tackling it gradually through similar projects, including the previous refurbishments of Sir Mickey’s and La Confiserie des Trois Fées.

However, the broader renovation effort is clearly not finished. The buildings housing the Snow White and Pinocchio attractions are in urgent need of updates, and safety nets are still visible on parts of Auberge de Cendrillon. For now, it’s unclear which structure Disney plans to renovate next, as there is little to no official communication about these ongoing maintenance projects.
