On Wednesday, 6 August 2025, a momentous milestone was reached at Disneyland Paris: the construction of Elsa’s Ice Palace officially begun atop the majestic North Mountain in the upcoming World of Frozen land. This marks a significant step forward for the eagerly awaited expansion at Disney Adventure World, which is slated to open in 2026.
The North Mountain, now towering at 36 meters high, serves as the dramatic centerpiece of the new Frozen-themed land. Nestled at its summit, the Ice Palace is designed as a meticulously crafted replica of the iconic castle Elsa conjures during the “Let It Go” sequence—a stunning symbol of ice and enchantment.
The arrival of the Ice Palace atop the North Mountain is a visually striking development. The palace embodies Elsa’s magical powers and personal journey, promising to immerse guests in the very heart of Arendelle’s wintery wonder.
As construction proceeds, visitors can look forward to an immersive and multi-layered frozen experience—combining architectural grandeur, narrative storytelling, and immersive design elements—when World of Frozen opens its gates in 2026.
