It was already announced on April 12, 2025, during a presentation that the Walt Disney Imagineering teams had plans to add two new treasure hunts to Frontierland and Adventureland.

The treasure hunt in Frontierland has been available for some time now. Guests have to look for golden nuggets hidden in different places near attractions, restaurants, and shops. And recently, the caves of Adventure Isle reopened after several months of renovation. During this time, the suspension bridge was also renovated.

Right before you enter the caves, there are signs with different drawings, inspired by the story of Pirates of the Caribbean. They show lost objects that are hidden inside. In total there are eight items to find, including a knife, an accordion, a pirate’s wooden leg, a key, an anchor, a shoe, and a jewelry box.

Besides adding the treasure hunt, the lighting inside the caves has also been improved. The reopening also means the Suspension Bridge is back in use, and hopefully, after this major maintenance, it can stay open for a longer time.
