The cinema at Disney Village in Disneyland Paris, opened in the ’90s, is the last theater still operating under the Gaumont name.
Known for its magical design, the cinema has been a landmark in Disney Village for decades. By the end of 2026, however, this piece of film history will undergo a change: the venue will adopt the branding and colors of Pathé, the world’s second-oldest film production company.
This transition marks the closing of an important chapter for Gaumont in French cinema, while giving Pathé the opportunity to continue its legacy and brand identity at an iconic location. Following the disappearance of Planet Hollywood, this will once again bring a major change to the look of Disney Village once the Gaumont name vanishes. It is not yet known whether the design of the building and its entrance will also be altered.
