Big changes are coming to Disney Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris. Disney has officially confirmed that selected parts of the hotel will close for refurbishment starting in January 2026.
The upcoming renovation is set to completely refresh the guest experience, while still keeping the warm, rustic feel that guests have loved since the hotel opened in 1992. The interiors will be updated from top to bottom, with a design focused on more natural light, modern comforts, and a stronger connection to nature.

What’s Changing?
While Disney hasn’t shared all the details yet, here’s what we know so far:
Starting in 2026, major renovation work will begin on the hotel’s interior spaces. Everything from the rooms and lobby to the shops and restaurants will be reimagined. The goal is to bring a brighter, more modern look to the hotel, while keeping the wooden décor and forest-inspired charm that make Sequoia Lodge so unique.
The updated design will be a tribute to nature, taking inspiration from the forests that Walt Disney and his team often celebrated in their animated classics. The new spaces are being designed to help guests relax, unwind, and feel even more connected to the peaceful surroundings of the lodge.
This renovation is also part of a bigger transformation across Disneyland Paris. In recent years, Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and the Disneyland Hotel have both been reimagined, and work has begun on new cabins at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. Now, it’s Disney Sequoia Lodge’s turn to shine.

The Hotel Will Stay Open
Even though parts of the hotel will be under renovation, Disney has confirmed that all hotel services and activities will remain available throughout the project. This includes the restaurants, pool, shops, and other amenities.
Renovation work will only take place during the day, so guests can still enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay.

A Much-Loved Hotel, Ready for an Update
Disney Sequoia Lodge has always been a favorite among Disney fans thanks to its cozy, national park-inspired design and lakeside location. But in recent years, it has received some criticism for having outdated rooms and a lack of modern conveniences like power outlets.
With this renovation, guests can expect those issues to be addressed. The hotel will get the upgrades it needs to match the high standards set by Disney’s recently updated hotels. A test hallway was installed in the hotel a few years ago:
