As announced by Disneyland Paris, the entire exterior of Space Mountain is undergoing much-needed maintenance. The iconic dome is receiving a thorough repaint, with its green decorative elements being refreshed.
At the same time, new lighting is being installed, some of which is already visible and currently in testing. This will create a spectacular nighttime view that will make Space Mountain stand out even more.
The work is quite a challenge: painters must work high above the ground while secured by ropes, requiring not only craftsmanship but also nerves of steel. Fear of heights is definitely not an option here.
It’s not yet clear when the refurbishment will be completed, but one thing is certain: the end result will be a stunning visual highlight for visitors to Disneyland Paris.
