On September 1st, we were among the first guests to stay in the new cabins at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. Nobody had stayed in this cabin before us. We stayed for 1 night to discover the new cabins with our own eyes and see what had changed. We were there with 2 adults and were curious to see the new style that was presented to us on April 12th during a special Insidears event. Our first impression was very positive: the cabins are fresh, modern, and a big upgrade compared to the older ones.

Location & accessibility
The Ranch is about a 10 to 15-minute drive from the Disney parks. It’s convenient that you can park your car right next to the cabin. Keep in mind there’s no shuttle bus, so you always need your car to get to the parks.
The cabin
The new cabins have almost exactly the same layout as the old ones. They are very cozy, with more use of the wood motif, which of course fits Davy Crockett perfectly and immediately creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We had plenty of space since there were only two of us, but with a full occupancy of six people you might feel a bit cramped. The furniture is about the same, with a sofa that can also be used as a bed and a large table in the dining area. The kitchen has everything you need: a toaster, microwave, dishwasher, complete tableware, pots and pans, cutlery, fridge, and freezer. The new cabins now also come with a coffee machine including coffee pods, which wasn’t available before.
There is a double bed, three single beds, and space on the sofa. The beds are fantastic, and the linen is incredibly soft. There is now also air conditioning in all the rooms, allowing you to set the temperature perfectly for a good night’s sleep. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a small walk-in closet. This walk-in closet replaces a toilet that was available in the old cabins. Unfortunately, the new versions now have only one toilet instead of two. While the walk-in closet is nice, a second toilet was a big plus, especially if you plan to share your cabin with friends or another family. Now there is only a very small toilet near the living area.
There are still two full bathrooms, as the bedroom with the three single beds also has its own bathroom. Both bathrooms have excellent showers, and there are plenty of towels available. There are no more individual soap bars, but wall-mounted soap dispensers are provided in the showers.
Thanks to the new decorative elements placed throughout the cabin, it feels even more “Disney” than before. The larger TV is a major upgrade, though a second TV in the main bedroom would have been nice. Watching TV from bed, as in a regular hotel room, is not possible, so if six people are staying in the cabin, everyone has to watch the same TV. However, you can now connect the TV to your Disney+ account, just like in the Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Facilities
The facilities at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch haven’t changed; the renovations are mainly focused on the cabins. There is still a large indoor swimming pool, a big shop with a small in-house supermarket offering interesting prices for drinks and food (much cheaper than in the parks), a playground, an arcade, a bar, and especially a buffet restaurant where you can enjoy a nice meal for just €35 per person.
Service & staff
The staff of Davy Crockett Ranch were friendly, we didn’t need them much during our stay. Mobile check-in didn’t go very smoothly. Normally, we were supposed to receive a text at 4 PM with our cabin number, but we didn’t get it. It was already past 4 PM and still nothing had arrived, so we had to go to the reception again. By the way, you can now open your cabin with your phone via the Disneyland Paris app. You no longer need a key or key card (MagicPass), although you can still request one at the reception if you want.
Value for money
This one is a bit tricky because the prices for Davy Crockett Ranch vary greatly. Since it was the first night in the new cabins, the price was slightly higher than later in the same week. However, we did get a discount through a special annual pass holder promotion. Like the other Disney hotels, prices depend on supply and demand. There are many times of the year when Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is not much more expensive than Disney Hotel Santa Fe, and sometimes even cheaper. Considering that up to six people can stay in a cabin, it can be a very good deal.
Keep in mind that there isn’t a full breakfast buffet like in the other hotels; instead, you get a takeaway breakfast to enjoy in your cabin. The main difference remains that you need a car to go to the Disney Parks and you can’t walk or go to the Disney Parks without leaving the “Disney bubble.”

Pros Disney Davy Crockett Ranch:
- Warm and welcoming cabins
- Peaceful location in nature
- Private parking right next to the cabin
- 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
- Fully equipped kitchen with complementary coffee
Cons Disney Davy Crockett Ranch:
- No shuttle bus to the parks
- Only 1 toilet anymore
- No breakfast buffet
Conclusion
We really enjoyed our stay in the new cabins. It’s the perfect choice for those who want more space and peace than in the busy Disney hotels. We would definitely stay here again! Book this Davy Crockett Ranch cabin here >
