Meet Mickey Mouse in Fantasyland will temporarily close for renovations starting September 8, 2025.
If you’re planning a visit to Disneyland Paris this fall, take note—there are quite a few temporary closures coming to both parks, and one beloved spot is now added to that list: Meet Mickey Mouse in Fantasyland will be closing for renovations starting September 8, 2025.
We already saw the signs back in August when scaffolding appeared around the Fantasyland Station and the Meet Mickey building. At the time, the Disneyland Paris app only mentioned that the photo shop at the exit would be closing, but now it’s officially confirmed that the entire meet & greet location will be unavaible for several months as part of a larger renovation.

This fall is shaping up to be a bit of a downtime season in general—attractions like Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Ratatouille: The Adventure are also scheduled for temporary closures. On top of that, some entertainment offerings will take a break too.

Earlier this year, Disneyland Paris introduced a virtual queue system for several character meet & greets, including Meet Mickey Mouse. Since the system relies on app reservations instead of traditional standby lines, the closure of the meet & greet wasn’t immediately reflected on the app or website, and unfortunately wasn’t communicated with the usual three-month notice.

But don’t worry, Mickey’s not going anywhere!
When meet & greet locations close, Disney usually finds temporary spots for characters to continue greeting guests. While we don’t have the exact location yet, Mickey is expected to pop up elsewhere in the parks. He’s often seen near Phantom Manor in a special outfit, and during Halloween and Christmas, that spot is typically taken over by Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In the past, Mickey and Minnie have also greeted guests in Frontierland near Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in their vibrant mariachi-style Halloween outfits. There’s also word that Mickey will continue meeting guests over at Walt Disney Studios Park during the closure, though we’re still waiting on the more details about where exactly.
And of course, you’ll still see Mickey during the park’s daily entertainment—whether it’s welcoming guests from the Main Street Station, waving during Disney Stars on Parade, or shining during Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade.
The Meet Mickey Mouse location in Fantasyland is expected to reopen sometime early next year, we’ll update you as soon as an official reopening date is announced.
