The Castle Stage Area at Disneyland Paris Is Finally Open Again
After more than a year of construction, the Castle Stage area in Disneyland Park is finally accessible to guests once again! Construction fences first went up in late June 2024, closing off the area near the stage and the bridge to the Wishing Well, right beside Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Because of the works, the parade route had to be slightly modified, which affected not only Disney Stars on Parade, but also seasonal favorites like Mickey’s Halloween Celebration and Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade. The changes even meant less space for guests to watch the parades.

Originally, rumors suggested the project would wrap up by spring 2025, but Disney kept completely quiet about it for 15 months. And even now, with the fences gone and the area reopened, there’s still no official statement about what was actually done.

That said, a few things are clearly new:
- The stairs leading up to the Castle Stage now have fresh gates installed
- The stage itself received an upgrade.
- Most noticeably, the backstage area seems to have received a major upgrade (Performers won’t have walk all the way from the parade gate anymore just to get on stage.)

The Wishing Well also received a completed renovation.

But while the space is open again, there’s still no word on when the Castle Stage will host its next show. In fact, signs at the location still say ‘no shows today,’ and for the upcoming Christmas season, the Disney Princesses will appear once a day on the four Central Plaza stages during the show Disney Princesses’ Holiday Season Celebration, not on the Castle Stage.
Looking ahead to next year, A Million Splashes of Colour is set to return for a second season on Central Plaza, yet another sign that the focus for entertainment may remain there for now.

In recent years, the Castle Stage was only used occasionally, mainly for small-scale events like World Princess Week or special Annual Pass parties.
