Big changes are coming to the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT, where Frozen Ever After has been enchanting guests since 2016. The attraction—filled with beloved Frozen characters like Sven, Olaf, Marshmallow, and the Snowgies—will soon receive an exciting upgrade: newly enhanced Audio-Animatronics figures of Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff.
When the ride first opened, it made history in the world of Audio-Animatronics. It was Disney’s first attraction to feature fully electric figures and to combine 3D printing with advanced motor technology—a true technological breakthrough. One of the most impressive achievements was Elsa’s lifelike hand movements, which required Imagineers to design her wrist and arms precisely to allow room for intricate motors and cables.

Since then, Walt Disney Imagineering has continued refining these innovations, applying them to attractions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo DisneySea, and World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Now, nearly a decade later, the Frozen Ever After figures will be updated using the same state-of-the-art technology showcased in Hong Kong. The result? Even more expressive, true-to-film characters that bring Arendelle’s magic to life like never before.
The upgrades are set to debut early next year, and if the photos from World of Frozen are any indication, EPCOT guests are in for a breathtaking new chapter of Frozen Ever After.
