The makeover of Disney Village continues non-stop.
The work that was until recently mostly visible at the back of the Village is now gradually moving closer to the entrance for guests coming from the Disney Parks. As a result, the first view that guests get when arriving via the train station is mainly one of construction walls.
Just like the first large new security entrance that was built during the pandemic years, a smaller version in the same style has now been completed at the back of Disney Village, where most Disney hotel guests arrive. The same thing is now happening at the front of Disney Village.

Just a few steps away, we can already see another active construction site. Here, work continues on the new restaurant Casa Giulia, an Italian restaurant operated by the same company behind Rainforest Café, Brasserie Rosalie, and The Royal Pub. This new restaurant is expected to open sometime in 2026 and will take the place of the former Planet Hollywood.

In the “street” of Disney Village, the construction work is also moving closer. Progress is slowly advancing toward the Disney Store. The new façade of the refurbished Sports Bar is starting to resemble the concept art quite well. The Sports Bar is supposed to open later this year, although there still seems to be quite a bit of work left to do. A large image of Goofy will be added to the metal frame, while the concrete block on the left side will feature a large lightsaber graphic from Star Wars.

With the work on the Sports Bar entering its final phase, it will soon be time to say goodbye to the Disney Store — another shop from the old Disney Festival era of Euro Disney, featuring those classic ’90s-style Disney decorative elements. The old New York Style Sandwiches will not be returning; its former space will be taken over by the new Sports Bar.

A bit further away, and less visible to guests, construction on the new McDonald’s is also progressing. Of all the ongoing projects, this one is moving the fastest — the entire building is almost complete, and windows have already been installed so that interior work can continue during the winter months. The new McDonald’s is expected to open in 2026, just like Casa Giulia. What will happen to the old McDonald’s or the space that will be freed up after its demolition is still unknown.
