Disney Village continues its big transformation, and another new addition is now confirmed. A Pelé Soccer shop will soon open just behind the Sports Bar, no exact opening date has been shared yet, but construction is expected to begin soon.
This shop will be fully dedicated to the world of football. It will also mark the first Pelé Soccer location in Europe, joining the existing stores at Disney Springs in Florida and Downtown Disney in California at the American Disney Resorts.
Fans can expect a wide selection of exclusive football shirts, accessories, vintage-inspired products, and other merchandise. With the Sports Bar also reopening soon, this feels like the perfect spot for a shop. It even brings back memories of the early Festival Disney era, when a sports-themed store once was in Disney Village, before eventually becoming Disney Fashion.
The location previously served as a video-game arcade and was more recently used as the temporary LEGO Store during its big make-over earlier this year.
The addition of Pelé Soccer is another step forward in the major transformation of Disney Village. The district is shifting toward a more modern and cohesive experience, with new stores and redesigned dining, including the reimagined Sports Bar, reopening on November 22, 2025. Shortly after, the Disney Store will close to become Disney Wonders, and Annette’s Diner will enter a lengthy refurbishment in early 2026.
