The Disneyland Pass Pop-Up Surprises are back and this time, the theme is Pixar.
Characters from Disney and Pixar’s beloved franchises Inside Out and Up will be meeting fans from November 7 through November 30, 2025. This exclusive offering gives Disneyland Pass holders the chance to enjoy special character meet & greets in a small, themed setting, with some rare characters in the mix!
When meeting Joy or Sadness, guests will find themselves inside Headquarters, the control center of Riley Andersen’s mind, complete with references to her different islands of personality.

The second meet & greet location brings fans straight to Paradise Falls from Up. Here, guests will get the chance to meet Russell or Carl, with Carl’s iconic floating house featured in the backdrop.

Inside the Disneyland Pass Corner, Passholders will also spot a Pixar-themed poster with several characters as well as a TV screen showing promotional content, including clips from Pixar’s more recent film Elio.

These meet & greets are especially exciting because Sadness, Carl, and Russell rarely appear in the parks during regular operating hours. Joy, on the other hand, has met guests before in the Worlds of Pixar area of Walt Disney Studios Park. Carl, and Russell also appear during the show TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure.
The previous edition of the Pop-Up Surprises ran from April 25 to May 18, 2025, and celebrated Disney Cruise Line. Annual Pass holders could meet Mickey and Minnie in their Captain outfits or even Captain Jack Sparrow, inspired by the popular Pirate Night experience at sea.
How It Works
Participation in this exclusive meet & greet is free but requires advance registration through the special online booking platform for Disneyland Pass holders. During registration, guests can select a 15-minute time slot on their chosen date.
The meet & greets take place in the Disneyland Pass Corner, located where the former Annual Pass Office used to be, just across from the Castle Stage in Disneyland Park. Guests can take their own photos with personal cameras or smartphones, as no official PhotoPass photographer will be available.
