Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast Reopens at Disneyland Paris After Major Refurbishment
As of today, 20 December 2025, guests can once again visit Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris. The popular attraction had been closed for around six months while undergoing extensive maintenance and refurbishment.
To celebrate the reopening, Buzz Lightyear himself was present at the entrance for a small opening ceremony. This is something Disneyland Paris often does when attractions return after a long refurbishment.

During the closure, the facade received a renovation, including a refreshed Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast sign and the iconic nearly two-meter-tall Buzz Lightyear statue.

Inside the building, teams from Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance, and Central Workshops worked closely together to restore this classic Discoveryland dark ride and its galaxy to their former glory.
Several technical updates were made, including improvements to the attraction’s blacklight system. You can get a sneak peek at this work in the video shared by Disney.
Before the attraction closed, Disney also confirmed that many ride vehicles were repainted and equipped with new dashboards featuring improved displays. In addition, several Audio-Animatronics were restored during the refurbishment, helping to enhance the overall experience.

Meanwhile, another attraction remains closed for a longer period at Disneyland Paris. Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park has been closed since October 2025 and is set to reopen in Spring 2026.

The attraction will feature a brand-new scene in the queue, showcasing a Parisian artist’s workshop. Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy will also receive several technical improvements to increase immersion. Disney has confirmed that the attraction will continue to operate in 2D, and the 3D effects will not return.
