Disneyland Paris in 2026: A Massive Year
2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years ever for Disneyland Paris. The spotlight is firmly on the former Walt Disney Studios Park, which will not only receive a major expansion but also a brand-new identity: Disney Adventure World. With the long-delayed expansion finally opening, the park will nearly double in size while introducing entirely new themed areas, new attractions and ambitious entertainment offerings.

While Disney Adventure World takes center stage, Disneyland Park will focus more on returning entertainment throughout the year, including a new season of A Million Splashes of Colour and the ever-popular Halloween and Christmas seasons.

Over in Disney Village, the multi-year transformation continues with the Disney Store becoming Disney Wonders and the long-awaited refurbishment of Annette’s Diner beginning in early 2026.

Disney Adventure World: A New Era Begins
Most of the excitement in 2026 is happening inside Disney Adventure World (Walt Disney Studios Park) at Disneyland Paris.

For years the park has been a construction zone, not only for the large expansion but also for the gradual transformation of existing areas like the former Studio 1 and Production Courtyard.
The original expansion was announced back in 2018 with new themed zones surrounding a large lake. Avengers Campus opened in 2022 as part of the project, but technically it was a transformation of the old Backlot rather than an actual expansion. After delays caused by the pandemic, fase 2 of the project is finally coming to life.
World of Frozen
The heart of this expansion is World of Frozen, opening on 29 March 2026, inviting guests into Arendelle during the joyful Snowflower Festival. Frozen remains one of Disney’s most beloved franchises, and this land aims to capture its charm on a grand scale.

The attraction, Frozen Ever After, will take guests on a musical boat ride to Elsa’s Ice Palace with scenes inspired by some of the film’s most iconic songs. Fans of EPCOT and Hong Kong Disneyland will recognize the layout, the attraction will feature impressive audio-animatronics of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven.

Inside Arendelle Castle, guests can enjoy a royal meet and greet with Anna and Elsa as they explore the Portrait Gallery before having a private moment with the sisters. Access will be managed through a virtual queue in the Disneyland Paris app.

Throughout World of Frozen, guests may encounter characters like Mossi the troll and Oaken, while Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf will appear multiple times a day during A Celebration in Arendelle, a colorful show performed on Viking longships in Arendelle Bay.
The show will feature music from both Frozen films, as well as new music composed especially for Disneyland Paris by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Disneyland Paris also confirmed that a next-generation robotic Olaf will appear in the land, although it is unclear yet whether guests will be able to approach him outside of the show.

The land will also feature two new shops. Arendelle Boutique will be the largest and serve as the exit to Frozen Ever After, while the nearby Fjord View Shop will offer the chance to “adopt” Rúna, an interactive baby troll. Exclusive World of Frozen merchandise created specifically for Disneyland Paris will fill both locations.

World of Frozen will offer two dining spots. Nordic Crowns Tavern provides a customizable Norwegian-inspired menu where guests can assemble their own meals with options like mashed potatoes or quinoa, grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs, seasonal vegetables and a choice of sauces.
A selection of icy desserts, pastries and sorbets completes the menu.

The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge
The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge opens on the same day as World of Frozen, The restaurant features refined princess-themed decor and will host meet and greets with characters such as Belle, Aurora, Mulan and Ariel, some wearing exclusive new outfits created just for Disneyland Paris.
Hotel guests can already book reservations, and the menu will be revealed soon.

Next door, the lounge will be open without reservations, offering drinks inspired by different Disney Princesses and a stunning view over the lake and World of Frozen.

Raiponce Tangled Spin
Right next to The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, guests will find Raiponce Tangled Spin, a new family ride inspired by the lantern festival from Tangled.
Guests board intricately designed gondolas that spin beneath a sky filled with glowing lanterns, surrounded by scenes from Rapunzel’s story.

Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, recorded new audio just for the attraction, including the announcements. This will be the second Tangled-themed ride in any Disney park worldwide.

Disney Cascade of Lights
Once night falls, Adventure Bay transforms into the stage for Disney Cascade of Lights, an ambitious 360-degree nighttime spectacular surrounding the lake.
Barges quietly take their positions two hours before the show, and when the lights finally dim, the entire area comes alive with water screens, fountains, projections, pyrotechnics and a world-exclusive choreography of 379 drones — 279 in the sky and 100 on the water— developed in partnership with Dronisos.
This marks the first time aquatic drones have ever been used in a Disney nighttime show.

The show celebrates courage and determination through scenes inspired by films like Mulan, Hercules, Moana (Vaiana), Zootopia (Zootropolis), Up and several Marvel stories, blending music, technology and storytelling in a way that sets a new standard for Disneyland Paris spectaculars.
The Gazebo Garden
Nearby, The Gazebo Garden offers a peaceful English-style area filled with charming bronze statues representing British-inspired Disney classics such as Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and 101 Dalmatians.

Disney Marching Band
Along Adventure Way, guests can also enjoy the Disney Marching Band, led by Minnie Mouse and her twelve-member troupe of musicians. Their modern interpretations of Disney, Pixar and Marvel songs add an energetic pulse to the promenade, echoing the style of Minnie’s Marching Band from the previous Disney Music Festival season.
Toy Story Gardens
The entrance to Toy Story Playland has been completely reimagined with the addition of Toy Story Gardens, featuring giant statues of Woody and Jessie surrounded by shrubs shaped like toys.
The new landscaping creates a smoother and more immersive transition into Toy Story Playland.

Mickey and Minnie in New Victorian Outfits
Disneyland Paris has shared that Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be appearing in brand-new Victorian outfits near Adventure Bay at the West Pavilion.

Minnie’s Dream Factory
Beginning on 7 February 2026, Minnie’s Dream Factory debuts in Studio D for a limited-time run through 5 July.
The show invites guests into a colorful musical adventure with Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Chip ‘n’ Dale, blending upbeat music, lively performances and fun stage effects. It replaces the Disney Junior Dream Factory, which originally opened in 2021.

Reopening Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy
Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park (Disney Adventure World) has been closed since October 2025 and is set to reopen in Spring 2026.
The attraction will feature a brand-new scene in the queue, showcasing a Parisian artist’s workshop. The Ratatouille dark-ride will also receive several technical improvements to increase immersion. Disney has confirmed that the attraction will continue to operate in 2D, and the 3D effects will not return.

Unclear: The Return of Alice in Wonderland Show
It’s still uncertain whether Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will return to the Theater of the Stars for a third season.
In previous years, the show was available only for a limited time during the spring and summer seasons. So far, Disneyland Paris has not confirmed the show’s return.

Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park will focus more on returning entertainment throughout the year, including a new season of A Million Splashes of Colour and the ever-popular Halloween and Christmas seasons.
Disneyland Paris may also have some smaller surprise offerings in store for Disneyland Park that have not yet been announced, but it appears that Disney Adventure World will receive the most attention this year.

Disney Stars on Parade returns
Disney Stars on Parade returns on 7 January, once the Disney Enchanted Christmas season has ended, and will once again make its way along the parade route. This parade takes visitors on a journey through imagination with eight different scenes, each depicting a unique Disney theme.

From the opening float featuring Mickey, Minnie, and their friends to the dramatic appearance of Maleficent in her fearsome dragon form, each float brings a distinct story to life. Popular characters such as Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Buzz, Woody, and Jessie from Toy Story, and Simba from The Lion King also appear along the way.
More magic for Rivers of the Far West at Frontierland
By the end of summer 2026, guests will enjoy an enhanced experience at Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, thanks to new scenes added along the route of Rivers of the Far West, and inspired by the original drawings of Imagineer and Disney Legend Marc Davis.

The new figures, including a buffalo on a prairie, and adorable racoons and a skunk on a floating log, have been specially redesigned and produced for the project by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams. Guests will catch a glimpse of these new additions while enjoying a relaxing cruise aboard the iconic Molly Brown boat.

Return A Million Splashes of Colour
A Million Splashes of Colour will return to Disneyland Paris from 7 February to 6 September 2026.
A Million Splashes of Colour is a vibrant and energetic daytime show that originally debuted at Disneyland Paris on 10 February 2024 as part of the Disney Symphony of Colours festival.
This colourful show featured three floats, professional dancers, and beloved Disney and Pixar characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Joy from Inside Out, Timon from The Lion King, Moana (Vaiana), Mirabel from Encanto, Stitch, and Asha from Disney’s Wish.

The float designs were inspired by elements of painting and creativity, incorporating oversized paintbrushes, paint pots, and thematic labels that reflected the personalities of the characters aboard.
Disney Halloween Festival 2026:
From 26 September to 1 November 2026, Disneyland Paris will once again celebrate the Disney Halloween Festival. The park will be adorned with beautiful Halloween decorations, featuring colourful pumpkins, autumn theming, and playful ghosts that create an enchanting atmosphere for fans of all ages.

The complete line-up for the 2026 Halloween season will be revealed at a later time.
Disney Enchanted Christmas 2026:
Disney Enchanted Christmas will return in 2026 with an enchanting parade, festive shows, and appearances from Disney characters. Exclusive Christmas souvenirs and special seasonal snacks will also be available, and the resort will be decorated with sparkling holiday décor.

Disneyland Paris has not yet announced the official dates for the 2026 Christmas season, though it typically runs from mid-November until early January. Some experiences, such as festive surprise shows, may begin later in the season.
The complete line-up for Disney Enchanted Christmas 2026 will be announced at a later date.
Disney Village:
In 2026, the transformation of Disney Village will continue with several major new additions, including a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant and the long-awaited Italian restaurant, Casa Giulia. This work is part of the broader Disneyland Paris transformation plans.
New McDonald’s Restaurant for Disneyland Paris (Opening Early 2026)
Disney has officially confirmed that the new McDonald’s currently under construction in Disney Village will open in early 2026. Once it opens, it will replace the existing McDonald’s that has been operating since 1999, which will permanently close. The new location will be the largest McDonald’s in France and has been designed exclusively for Disneyland Paris.
Guests can expect a fresh and modern look with lots of greenery, bright indoor and outdoor seating areas, and unique architecture created specifically for the resort. The restaurant will also include playful nods to Disneyland Paris, along with new innovations and services aimed at making dining quicker and more convenient for families and park visitors.

Casa Giulia (Opening Late 2026)
Later in 2026, Disney Village will welcome Casa Giulia, a brand-new Italian restaurant designed for lovers of classic Italian cuisine. The restaurant will span two floors and offer seating for around 500 guests. It will be operated by Bertrand Hospitality, the same group behind Brasserie Rosalie, The Royal Pub, and Rainforest Café in Disney Village.
This space was previously home to Planet Hollywood, which closed in 2023 and was demolished in 2024.
In addition to the main restaurant, Casa Giulia will also feature Giulia Express, a quick-service option offering pizza by the slice, focaccias, and a selection of classic Italian pastries for guests on the go.

Pelé Soccer shop
Another upcoming addition to Disney Village in Disneyland Paris is the Pelé Soccer shop, which will open just behind the Sports Bar, no exact opening date has been announced yet.
This store will be fully dedicated to football and will mark the very first Pelé Soccer location in Europe, joining existing stores at Disney Springs in Florida and Downtown Disney in California.
Guests can expect a wide range of football merchandise, including exclusive jerseys, accessories, vintage-inspired items, and more.

Transformation of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders and renovations Annette’s Diner
Major changes are also coming to two iconic Disney Village locations starting January 5, 2026. On that date, the Disney Store will close to begin its transformation into Disney Wonders, and Annette’s Diner will also close temporarily for a large-scale renovation.

The closure of the Disney Store will mark the end of the original Euro Disney retail location, complete with its classic props and décor. Disney Wonders will introduce a bright, modern shopping experience designed to immerse guests in their favorite Disney stories.

Annette’s Diner will also receive a significant redesign while keeping its beloved 1950s American diner theme intact. During the renovation, many iconic elements will be reimagined.
The bar will feature a new design inspired by shiny chrome diners, while the booths will be redesigned to resemble 1950s car seats in pastel colours such as pink, blue, and vanilla yellow.

When Annette’s Diner reopens, it will offer slightly increased seating capacity while continuing to celebrate the golden age of Rock ’n’ Roll. At this time, it remains unclear whether Annette’s Diner will be ready to reopen later in 2026.
