With the busy holiday season now behind us, construction work has fully resumed in Disney Village.
After the reopening of the Sports Bar & Lounge, there was a short period with fewer construction walls, but work on the new McDonald’s restaurant and the Italian restaurant Casa Giulia continued without interruption.
Disney Store:
Since January 5 2026, both Annette’s Diner and the Disney Store have officially closed. The closure of the Disney Store marks the end of the original Euro Disney retail location, complete with its classic props and décor.

In its place, Disney Wonders will arrive with a bright, modern shopping experience designed to immerse guests in their favorite Disney stories.

An opening date for the Disney Wonders shop has not yet been announced, but it is expected later this year. In the meantime, Disney has already started removing the Disney Store signage from the façade.

Annette’s Diner:
Right next to the former Disney Store, Annette’s Diner has also temporarily closed its doors. The iconic restaurant is set to receive a redesign while keeping its much-loved 1950s American diner theme.

When Annette’s Diner reopens, it will offer slightly increased seating capacity while continuing to celebrate the golden age of Rock ’n’ Roll. At this stage, it is still unclear when the restaurant will reopen, as the renovation is expected to take quite some time.

Temporary lighting and music elements have been added to the area between Annette’s Diner and the Casa Giulia construction site. The Disney Village food stalls have also been removed.

Casa Giulia:
Speaking of Casa Giulia, progress has been clearly visible over the past few weeks. The building has advanced quickly, with the first windows recently installed.

This new Italian restaurant is currently expected to open in late 2026. This restaurant will be operated by Bertrand Hospitality, the same group behind Brasserie Rosalie, The Royal Pub, and Rainforest Café in Disney Village.

New McDonald’s Restaurant:
Another project that is much closer to completion is the brand-new McDonald’s restaurant being built next to the current location in Disney Village.

While Disney and McDonald’s France have not officially confirmed an opening date, rumors suggest a February 2026 opening. Judging by the current state of construction, that seems very possible.

Workers have already begun installing rooftop terraces, and the iconic McDonald’s signage has been added to the building.
Once the new restaurant opens, it will replace the existing McDonald’s that has been operating since 1999, which will permanently close. The new location will be the largest McDonald’s in France and has been designed exclusively for Disneyland Paris.

Disney Village Monnaie de Paris vending machines:
The Monnaie de Paris vending machines have been relocated in Disney Village and can now be found between Disney Style and the LEGO Store.
