Let’s take a look at the current works near the Tower of Terror area in Walt Disney Studios Park.
Over the past few years, many major projects have been completed as part of the park’s transformation into Disney Adventure World, which will become the official name of the second park at Disneyland Paris when World of Frozen opens on 29 March 2026.
Some of the most visible changes include the transformation of Studio 1 into World Premiere, along with updates to Toon Studio and Production Courtyard, now known as World Premiere Plaza.
One of the final additions to this area was the opening of two small shops in December 2025.
Another project is located next to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This space previously housed FastPass ticket machines before the pandemic. Since the introduction of Disney Premier Access through the Disneyland Paris app, the location has been unused.
Because it sits right next to the new Adventure Way promenade, Disney decided to turn this space into a small retail location. Concept art for the shop was shared earlier, and construction began in spring 2025.
Although the shop was initially expected to open by the end of 2025, the project has been delayed and no new opening date has been confirmed.
Work is also ongoing at the Tower of Terror attraction itself. A new covered outdoor waiting area is being added to the queue line. To allow construction to continue while keeping the attraction open, a temporary queue has been set up in front of the attraction since spring.
Progress is now becoming more noticeable, and the covered queue area is currently expected to open in spring 2026.
Disney previously announced similar plans for a redesign of the Peter Pan’s Flight queue line in Fantasyland, but no further updates have been shared on whether that project is still moving forward.
Finally, there have been subtle updates to the Tower of Terror itself. The balconies have been modified with new elements designed to hide telecom antennas, while still preserving the hotel’s Art Deco architectural style.
