Long wait times are one of the biggest downsides of a day at Disneyland Paris for many visitors. Premier Access is Disney’s paid system that lets you skip the regular lines at popular attractions. But… is it really worth it? Or are you mostly paying for convenience that you could also achieve with smart planning?
Here’s exactly what Premier Access is, how it works, and when it is (or isn’t) a good idea to buy.

What Is it?
Premier Access is the paid replacement for the former FastPass system. Instead of reserving free time slots, you now purchase access to a faster queue through the Disneyland Paris app.
There are two options:
Premier Access One
You buy access for one specific attraction, at a time slot you choose (subject to availability).
So you pay per ride, per person. For a popular attraction, this could be around €15 per person, per ride. If you’re visiting with a family of four, that means paying about €60 to ride one attraction once with a much shorter wait time (although you may still have a brief wait).
Premier Access Ultimate
This option gives you one-time access to multiple major attractions via a special entrance, without fixed time slots. You’ll need less planning, but you pay a higher flat price per person for the day.

Which Attractions Offer Premier Access?
These are usually the rides with the longest wait times, such as:
Disneyland Park
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Hyperspace Mountain
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
- Star Tours
- Orbitron (Premier Access One only)
- Autopia
- It’s a Small World
- Phantom Manor
- Pirates of the Caribbean
Disney Adventure World
- Crush’s Coaster
- Cars Road Trip
- Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure
- Ratatouille: The Adventure
- Avengers Assemble: Flight Force
- Frozen Ever After
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Raiponce Tangled Spin
(Availability may change, and some attractions may be closed for refurbishment.)
How Much Does It Cost?
Prices are variable and depend on crowd levels and the season.
- Premier Access One: Price per attraction, per person
- Premier Access Ultimate: Fixed daily price per person
Popular rides on busy days cost more than less crowded attractions on quieter days. Crush’s Coaster and Peter Pan’s Flight are almost always among the more expensive options.
Important: Premier Access is an extra cost on top of your park ticket.
How Much Time Do You Actually Save?
It depends on the day, but on average you save 30 to 90 minutes per attraction.
On busy days, it can literally save you hours of waiting time. On quieter days, the time saved is smaller and it may feel less necessary.
When Is Premier Access Worth It?
Premier Access can be a smart choice if:
- You only have one day in the parks
- You’re visiting during a busy season (school holidays, public holidays, long weekends)
- You’re traveling with people who struggle with long waits (young children, elderly guests)
- You want to avoid stress and have a more relaxed day
- You really want to experience specific top attractions (like Crush’s Coaster or Peter Pan’s Flight)
In these cases, you’re mainly paying for time and comfort.
When Is It Better Not to Buy It?
Premier Access is often less necessary if:
- You’re spending multiple days in the parks
- You arrive early and stay late (you can avoid many lines this way)
- You’re visiting outside peak season
- You’re flexible about which attractions you ride
- You’re willing to use Single Rider lines where available
With a good strategy, you can still do a lot without Premier Access. If you’ve booked a full multi-day Disneyland Paris stay, you’ll usually have more than enough time to experience everything without needing it.
A Smart Way to Use Premier Access
You don’t have to buy the most expensive option right away. Many visitors use a hybrid approach:
- Rope drop in the morning
- Plan around wait times during the day
- Buy only one or two Premier Access One passes for attractions with extremely long waits (like Crush’s Coaster)
This keeps costs lower while still saving a lot of time.
So… Is Premier Access Worth the Money?
The honest answer: it depends on your priorities.
If you want to do as many attractions as possible with minimal waiting and you value convenience over budget, Premier Access can definitely be worth it.
If you’re willing to get up early, plan smartly, and accept some waiting, you might prefer to spend that money on snacks, souvenirs, or a future trip.
Premier Access doesn’t buy magic — but it does buy time. If you’re unsure how busy the parks will be, wait until the day itself and see whether you really need it. We often see people using Premier Access for attractions while we take the regular queue and end up boarding at almost the exact same time.
