Construction has been visible for quite some time in Toy Story Playland at Walt Disney Studios Park (soon to become Disney Adventure World), especially across from the giant Pixar ball.
These construction walls are part of the works for a brand-new entrance to Toy Story Playland, which will officially open as part of the park’s major expansion and transformation.

The new entrance will connect directly to Adventure Way, the upcoming promenade that connects the existing park to several new themed areas around Adventure Bay. This includes World of Frozen, which is set to open to all guests on March 29, 2026.

Final touches underway
With preview days for Cast Members and Disneyland Pass holders and special events approaching, the official opening is getting closer. Disney’s teams are now focusing on the finishing touches, especially when it comes to landscaping.

All colored wood mulch has now been fully installed, and additional plants and shrubs have recently been added to the new Toy Story Playland expansion area, giving the space a more playful look.
The two new statues of Woody and Jessie were already installed in early 2025. To prevent guests from getting too close, K’NEX-themed fences have been placed around these decorative elements.

Disneyland Paris even shared official photos of the statues earlier this year, taken during snowy conditions.

We’re really looking forward to this small but welcome expansion of Toy Story Playland, which will make the area feel a bit larger and more enjoyable for guests.
