Disneyland Paris has announced that the bridge of Sleeping Beauty Castle will soon undergo refurbishment.
The news was shared together with several upcoming changes to the nighttime show Disney Tales of Magic, partly due to the construction work.
Because of the refurbishment, the show will be slightly adapted from May 4 until the end of September 2026. During this period, the fountain effects will be removed, and Disney will introduce new pyrotechnic sequences instead.
Another change to the show is not related to the bridge refurbishment. Starting April 1, 2026, Disney Tales of Magic will no longer feature drones.

Disneyland Paris also confirmed that Sleeping Beauty Castle and La Tanière du Dragon will remain accessible throughout the duration of the works. At the moment, Disney has not shared many additional details about the project.
The bridge has been in poor condition for several years, and recently construction walls appeared on part of the bridge.

This isn’t the first time temporary walls have appeared here. At the end of 2024, similar construction barriers were installed for smaller refurbishment work. It now appears that similar repairs are needed on the other side of the bridge as well.

Not Included in the 2021 Castle Refurbishment
Back in 2021, during the temporary closure of Disneyland Paris due to the pandemic, Sleeping Beauty Castle underwent a large-scale refurbishment in preparation for the resort’s 30th Anniversary in 2022. The castle itself looked stunning after the renovation.
However, the bridge leading to the castle was not included in that project. Its last refurbishment dates back quite some time, and the fountain effects used during Disney Tales of Magic have also impacted the condition of the bridge over the years.

We’re happy to see that a full refurbishment of the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge is finally happening soon.
