New solar trash cans installed on Main Street at Disneyland Paris
Guests visiting Disneyland Park may have noticed a small but interesting change on Main Street.. Most of the regular trash cans in the area have recently been replaced with solar-powered trash cans, commonly known as BigBelly bins.
The first of these trash cans was introduced earlier as a test on Central Plaza, right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Following that test, the system has now been expanded to the rest of Main Street and Town Square.

Slightly different placement
One noticeable difference is the placement of the new trash cans. They are no longer positioned as close to the parade route as before and are instead placed closer to the building façades along Main Street.

This change was likely made to prevent guests from sitting on the solar panels located on top of the bins. Because of this new placement, it might be a little harder to quickly spot a trash can, meaning guests may need to look around slightly more than before.

The new BigBelly trash cans are designed to be very easy to use. They can be opened either by pulling a handle or by pressing a pedal with your foot.
For now, these solar-powered trash cans have only appeared in Disneyland Park and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch. They have not yet been installed in Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) or in Disney Village.
