A new Pixar-inspired attraction is coming to Disney Adventure World, with Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings set to open in 2027 as part of the park’s ongoing transformation.
Inspired by UP, the attraction will be located in Adventure Way, near Raiponce Tangled Spin. It will celebrate the adventurous spirit of characters like Russell, Carl Fredricksen, and Ellie, inviting guests to join the Wilderness Explorers and earn their “Aviation” badge.

The queue area will guide visitors through four themed zones inspired by key moments from the film, featuring props such as Carl’s aviator helmet and Ellie’s adventure book. The attraction itself will offer a modern take on the classic flying chair carousel, with 64 seats on 48 chairs, including duo seats for shared experiences.
As the ride spins, the central dome will tilt, creating a stronger sensation of flight over the surrounding gardens. The design blends Art Nouveau and industrial elements, with details inspired by balloons, clouds, and the film’s characters. A golden feature at the top of the structure will reference Carl and Ellie’s house, tying the attraction closely to the story of Up.

Set within a lush themed garden, Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings will combine storytelling, scenery, and motion to create an immersive experience that fits into the expanding Adventure Way area.
