Construction walls are now up near Sleeping Beauty Castle as refurbishment work on the bridge officially gets underway.
The bridge has been in poor condition for several years, so this renovation has been expected for quite some time.

Back in March 2026, Disneyland Paris already shared more details about the project, including its impact on the nighttime show Disney Tales of Magic. From May 4 through the end of September 2026, the show will be slightly adjusted.

During this period, the fountain effects will be removed, and new pyrotechnic sequences will be introduced instead.
The drones have also been removed from the show until further notice since April 1, 2026, so this is not related to the castle bridge refurbishment.
At the moment, construction walls are visible at the beginning of the bridge on the right-hand side, though the bridge itself remains accessible. Disneyland Paris has also confirmed that Sleeping Beauty Castle and La Tanière du Dragon will stay open and accessible throughout the works.

While Sleeping Beauty Castle itself underwent a major refurbishment in 2021, the bridge was not included at the time. Over the past few years, it has only received smaller maintenance updates, making this more extensive refurbishment a necessary next step.
