It’s now possible to pick up your ice cream later at Nordic Crowns Tavern in World of Frozen when you order a menu.
When ordering a menu at the self-ordering kiosks inside the restaurant, guests will now receive a notification on the screen giving them the choice to either collect their ice cream right away or pick it up at a later time.
The menu at the Nordic Crowns Tavern is relatively small. Guests can choose between (plant-based) meatballs or salmon, both served with mashed potatoes or quinoa. There’s also a potato & smoked fish salad as option.
Most menu options come with a drink and a dessert. There are three ice cream choices available, including two soft-serve options with toppings or a pre-packaged Magnum. The Everlasting Snowflake shortbread dessert is also available, though this one is not ice cream.
Shortly after the restaurant opened, there was some criticism from guests who received their soft serve ice cream at the same time as their main course. With this new system, visitors can now choose to return to the counter later to pick up their dessert.
The Nordic Crowns Tavern tells the story of the kingdom and its royal family through galleries of paintings and decorative objects.
The restaurant is open for breakfast (with limited options), lunch, and dinner, offering a dining experience inspired by Norwegian cuisine. It is currently the only dining location in World of Frozen.
