A new construction update gives us a closer look at the upcoming The Lion King attraction and Up -themed attraction in Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris.
Recent photos clearly show the progress of the new Up attraction, officially named “Wilderness Explorer’s Sky Swings”, located in Adventure Way. The shape of the building is already becoming visible, and it is expected to house the attraction’s queue area for this swinging carousel-style experience. The attraction is currently planned to open in 2027 and will play an important role in completing the Adventure Way district.

Looking further across the site, another major construction area is visible: the upcoming The Lion King attraction & land. The official name of this themed area has not yet been announced. Construction here is currently focused on vertical development, with the show building gradually rising. While there is still relatively little to see at this stage, this phase is crucial—once the main structure is completed, interior work and the large-scale themed mountain can follow.

Progress is still in its early stages, and the iconic Lion King show building and surrounding rockwork are still far from completion. However, once finished, the area is expected to become a major new highlight of the park.

Meanwhile, from within Disney Adventure World, guests can already observe testing on the attraction. Recently, a lift hill has been installed, which will transport boats upward before they make their final drop into a splash zone.
