On May 16, 2026, Disneyland Paris and Dronisos officially unveiled a brand-new addition to Disney Cascade of Lights: the Aqua Stage.
The producer of the show in Disney Adventure World, Ben Spalding, shared the news on Instagram.
According to Ben Spalding, the new Aqua Stage system is designed to bring the experience even closer to guests and is now fully integrated into the existing drone ecosystem, opening the door to an entirely new dimension of live entertainment. He also teased that this is “only the beginning.”
The Aqua Stage platforms make it possible to move and stage spectacular effects directly on the water. The system is fully customizable and can support different types of effects including water jets with multiple movements and sizes, pyrotechnic effects, lasers, and even water screens for projections.

Disney Cascade of Lights officially debuted on March 29, 2026, in Disney Adventure World as the very first 360° lake show with drones at Disneyland Paris.

The nighttime spectacular takes place on Adventure Bay, the large central lake located in front of World of Frozen.

The show originally featured a total of 379 drones: 279 aerial drones flying above the lake and 100 aquatic drones moving across the water. These water drones quickly received the nickname “Ducks”.
With the addition of the new Aqua Stage, the show now also includes 6 larger floating units that have already been nicknamed the “Mighty Ducks.”
At the moment, the new Mighty Ducks only appear during the finale of the show. The full nighttime spectacular runs for approximately 15 minutes.

Disney Cascade of Lights is currently performed daily around the closing time of Disney Adventure World. Current performance times for this and other shows can be found on the official Disneyland Paris app.
The updated version of Disney Cascade of Lights featuring the Aqua Stage was also included in our recent Disneyland Paris News Report video, and we’ll upload a full version of the updated show soon.
Disneyland Paris & Dronisos
Disneyland Paris and Dronisos have been working together since 2022 on several nighttime spectaculars, beginning with Disney D-Light, the first-ever drone show above Sleeping Beauty Castle during the Disneyland Paris 30th Anniversary celebration.

Over the past few years, multiple drone shows have taken place across both Disney Parks, including Avengers: Power the Night, Disney Electrical Sky Parade, and the annual Bastille Day fireworks.
The current nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park, Disney Tales of Magic, originally also featured drones. However, Disneyland Paris decided to remove them from the production in April 2026.

As a result, Disney Cascade of Lights is currently the only daily show at Disneyland Paris featuring drones, although the show can still run in a modified version during bad weather conditions.
