Disneyland Paris has finally started cleaning the roofs of Disney Newport Bay Club.
During our latest visit, we spotted crews working from a crane near the Lake Disney entrance of the hotel. From the photos, it is visible which sections of the roof have already been cleaned and which parts are still waiting for some attention.
Disney Newport Bay Club is one of the largest hotels in Europe. With a total of 1,093 rooms and 13 suites, it is also the largest of all the Disney Hotels at Disneyland Paris. Because of its impressive size, maintaining the building can be quite a challenge.
The hotel was designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern as a tribute to the relaxed atmosphere of elegant New England seaside resorts from the early 20th century.
The last major refurbishment of Disney Newport Bay Club was completed in 2016. That project included updated rooms and a full renovation of the hotel’s exterior. During the works, a fatal workplace accident sadly took place in 2015.
At the moment, the current work appears to be limited to cleaning the roofs. Disneyland Paris has not announced a larger renovation project for Disney Newport Bay Club at this time.
Another Disney Hotel Renovation is underway
Disney Newport Bay Club is not the only Disney Hotel receiving attention. Disney Sequoia Lodge is also undergoing a phased refurbishment, which started in early 2026.
The first renovated rooms, located in the outdoor lodges, are expected to welcome guests in early 2027. Other areas of the hotel, including the lobby, restaurants, shops, and other spaces, will be updated later.
Disney Sequoia Lodge will remain open throughout the works.
