Disneyland Paris nighttime spectaculars were performed last night without pyrotechnics and flame effects, most likely due to restrictions linked to the ongoing heatwave affecting France.
French national and local authorities have recently announced several measures and restrictions as extremely high temperatures are expected across the country in the coming days. These measures include restrictions on certain outdoor activities as authorities try to reduce risks associated with the heat.
According to current forecasts, Disneyland Paris is expected to experience very hot to extremely hot weather over the next few days. Daytime temperatures could reach between 35°C and 40°C, with the hottest conditions expected around Wednesday and Thursday.
Even after sunset, temperatures are expected to remain high, ranging between 20°C and 25°C overnight. Seine-et-Marne, the department where Disneyland Paris is located, is also under a red extreme-heat warning.
Guests visiting the parks over the coming days should take extra precautions. Staying hydrated, taking regular breaks in air-conditioned or shaded areas, and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day is highly recommended.
The temporary removal of pyrotechnics and flame effects has a particularly noticeable impact on Disney Tales of Magic in Disneyland Park.
The nighttime spectacular is already operating in a reduced format following the removal of drones from the show in April 2026. In addition, the ongoing refurbishment of the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge means that the fountain effects remain unavailable until at least late September 2026.
As a result, Disney Tales of Magic is currently being performed almost entirely with projection effects on Sleeping Beauty Castle & Main Street, creating a significantly different experience compared to the original version of the show.
Over in Disney Adventure World, Disney Cascade of Lights is in a slightly better position, as the show still includes drones. However, if weather conditions prevent the drones from flying, there won’t be much left of the show.
At the time of writing, Disneyland Paris has not yet officially commented on the adjustments made to the nighttime entertainment program.

Guests visiting the resort over the next few days should keep in mind that nighttime shows, outdoor entertainment offerings, and even certain attractions could be modified or temporarily suspended during the hottest parts of the day due to the extreme weather conditions.
