A fresh touch of Disney magic is coming to Central Plaza in Disneyland Park. New topiaries inspired by beloved Disney characters will soon take their place among the green spaces surrounding the plaza.
Guests can already spot the first one, inspired by the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The colourful new addition adds a playful look to the area and also makes a charming new photo spot.
Over the coming weeks, another topiary inspired by Tick Tock Croc from Peter Pan will be installed, completing this new addition to Central Plaza. The topiaries are the result of a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the Horticulture team, and the Entertainment Workshops.
These new Disney character topiaries replace the Gardens of Wonder, which were removed from Central Plaza a few weeks ago.
Disneyland Paris previously shared that the Gardens of Wonder sculptures will return in the future at Disney Village, as part of the ongoing transformation of the entertainment district.
We’ll be keeping an eye on Central Plaza over the coming weeks to see which new topiaries appear next. It is definitely nice to see something different in this area after the Gardens of Wonder had been there for several years.
The new Disney topiaries also remind us a little of the Flower & Garden Festival at EPCOT, where the park is filled with beautiful topiaries inspired by Disney characters. This seems like a smaller version of that idea, focused only around Central Plaza.
At the moment, it is not yet known when all the new topiaries will be installed.
