For the second year in a row, the Merchandise and Entertainment teams at Disneyland Paris have joined forces to create a unique experience around one of Disney’s most iconic characters.
Last year, Chip ‘n’ Dale were the stars of a special merchandise collection, with the duo also meeting guests in Disney Adventure World, then still known as Walt Disney Studios Park, wearing brand-new matching outfits.
This year, it is Donald Duck’s turn to take the spotlight with an all-new merchandise collection inspired by his nautical world.
The brand-new Donald Duck collection will be available in Disneyland Paris shops from July 6.
This new collaboration is more than just a simple merchandise release. From the very beginning of the project, the Merchandise and Entertainment teams worked closely together to create a complete experience for guests.
The nautical style of the collection will not only be visible in the products, but also in a special new outfit that Donald Duck will wear during his meet and greet appearances.
Inspired by Donald’s classic sailor look, the merchandise designers created a collection filled with marine colors, seaside charm, and modern trends. At the same time, the Entertainment Costuming team used the same creative ideas to design an exclusive summer outfit for Donald.
Apparel, Accessories and a Shoulder Plush
The new Donald Duck collection will include apparel, accessories, and even the very popular shoulder plush.
This means guests can pick up items inspired by Donald’s signature style in the shops, and then meet Donald himself wearing a matching nautical outfit in the park.
Where to find the collection?
This summer, guests can find the new collection at several shops across Disneyland Paris, including Emporium, Sir Mickey’s Boutique, World of Disney, and Bay Boutique at Disney Newport Bay Club.
After shopping, guests can also head to Boarding House, located between The Storybook Store and Emporium, where Donald Duck will be meeting guests in his brand-new nautical outfit.
Donald Duck was already spotted earlier on Main Street. wearing this new outfit while filming a short video. We will probably see that appear later on one of Disneyland Paris’ social media channels.
