Disney Princesses are taking center stage across Disneyland Paris this summer. No matter where guests look, the beloved royal characters are becoming an even bigger part of the resort experience.
In addition to the popular Disney Princess dining experiences already available at several restaurants, Disney Adventure World will soon welcome a brand-new princess cavalcade, which had previously been announced. Now, Disneyland Paris is expanding its royal entertainment even further with the debut of a new princess show at the Royal Castle Stage in Disneyland Park.
The location couldn’t be more fitting. Situated right beside Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Royal Castle Stage provides the perfect backdrop for a Disney Princess production.
This will also mark the first show on the Royal Castle Stage since the venue underwent an extensive renovation. The refurbishment lasted several months and significantly expanded and modernized the stage. In recent weeks, guests have already spotted a few set pieces appearing on the stage, including what look to be two royal thrones. Whether additional decor will be added before opening day remains unknown, but with the stage now considerably larger than before, we hope for an even more elaborate set.
At this time, Disneyland Paris has not revealed any story details, runtime, or which Disney Princesses will appear. So far, the only official detail revealed by Disneyland Paris is the show’s title: “Sleeping Beauty’s Royal Waltz.” The name strongly suggests that the production will focus on Princess Aurora, alongside Prince Phillip and perhaps the three good fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather as they are also in de parade.
Whether the show will exclusively feature characters from Sleeping Beauty or also include other Disney Princesses remains a mystery.
One character who has not been hinted at, but would certainly make for a spectacular surprise, is Maleficent. Given the elegant, royal theme suggested by the title, her appearance may be unlikely, but seeing Disney’s iconic villain crash the celebration would undoubtedly be an unforgettable moment in the show.
What is confirmed is that the new show will make its debut on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, giving guests another magical reason to visit Disneyland Park during this summer’s princess-filled celebration.
