Drones are temporarily back above Sleeping Beauty Castle during Disney Tales of Magic at Disneyland Paris!
Due to the fireworks ban currently in effect in the area where Disneyland Paris is located, the resort has adjusted its nighttime entertainment. As a result, the drone display from Disney Tales of Magic has made a temporary return.
This is quite interesting, as the official Disneyland Paris website currently mentions that Disney Tales of Magic does not include drones. That makes this temporary return feel like a special exception linked to the fireworks ban, rather than a permanent change to the show.
The drones were previously removed from the show in April 2026, shortly after Disney Cascade of Lights debuted in Disney Adventure World. Since then, Disney Tales of Magic has been presented without drones, focusing more on projections, lights, and pyrotechnic effects.
For now, the drones are back as part of the temporary version of the show while fireworks are not allowed. The fireworks ban is currently expected to remain in place through July 15.
On July 14, 2026 Disney Tales of Magic will not be performed, as it will be replaced by the special Bastille Day nighttime show. That show is expected to feature 1,600 drones.
Of course, keep in mind that drones can only appear when weather conditions allow. In case of poor weather or technical issues, the show may be modified, postponed, or cancelled without prior notice.
