Major renovation of Disney Sequoia Lodge moves to the Main Building in 2027
The major renovation of Disney Sequoia Lodge at Disneyland Paris began in early 2026 and is being completed in several phases. Work started in the more distant lodge buildings, which are separate from the hotel’s main building. This allowed the main facilities to remain accessible to guests for longer.
So far, the impact on guests has remained fairly limited. However, part of the hotel’s parking is unavailable, reducing its capacity, and construction walls can be seen in several areas.
The next major phase of the renovation will begin in February 2027 and will focus on the hotel’s main building.
Temporary closures from February 2027
All hotel services and facilities will remain available until February 18, 2027. From February 19, some facilities, including the Redwood Bar and Lounge and hotel shop Northwest Passage, will temporarily close for renovation.
Guests will be able to purchase drinks, snacks and a selection of souvenirs from a temporary location in the hotel lobby. Disney Character encounters will also continue to take place at the hotel at selected times.
Some construction noise may occasionally be heard during this phase, but all work will take place during the daytime. Other important hotel services, including the restaurants, will remain available.
A completely refreshed hotel experience
The renovation aims to completely refresh the guest experience while preserving the warm and rustic atmosphere that has defined Disney Sequoia Lodge since it opened in 1992.
Everything from the guest rooms and lobby to the shops and restaurants will be reimagined. Disney plans to introduce a brighter and more modern look while keeping the signature wooden décor and forest-inspired charm that makes the hotel so popular.
The new design will celebrate nature and take inspiration from the beautiful forests featured in classic Disney animated films.
First renovated rooms arriving in 2027
The first renovated rooms are expected to welcome guests in early 2027. Bookings for these new rooms are scheduled to open around mid-September 2026.
Disney Sequoia Lodge will remain open throughout the renovation, with the work taking place in different phases to limit its impact on guests.
