The transformation of the former Disney Store in Disney Village is becoming more visible. Two colourful Marvel portraits have recently been installed on the façade of Disney Wonders, the new shop expected to open later this summer.
The first artwork features Iron Man and Tony Stark, with both identities stylishly combined into a single portrait. One half shows Iron Man’s iconic red-and-gold mask, while the other shows Tony Stark’s face.
The second portrait is dedicated to Black Panther and Shuri. One half features the Black Panther mask, while the other shows Shuri. Its purple background and warm colours perfectly match the futuristic look and atmosphere of Wakanda.
Both portraits have an expressive, hand-painted appearance and are displayed in large frames against the building’s brick façade. Together, they offer a first look at the modern design guests can expect from Disney Wonders.
Work on Disney Wonders continues
Work is still taking place behind and around the façade as the building’s transformation continues. The former Disney Store closed earlier this year to make way for the new retail concept.
Disney previously announced that Disney Wonders would open sometime this summer. Considering how much work still appears to be needed, an opening towards the end of the summer seems most likely. If the project experiences any delays, the opening could potentially move to the beginning of autumn. However, Disneyland Paris has not yet announced an official opening date.
Disney Wonders promises to offer a bright and modern shopping experience that immerses guests in their favourite Disney stories.
A major transformation of Disney Village
Disney Wonders is part of the large-scale transformation currently taking place across Disney Village. Several shops in the entertainment district have already been renovated or replaced with completely new concepts.
The new Marvel portraits give Disney Wonders an increasingly distinctive look, with Iron Man, Tony Stark, Black Panther and Shuri becoming eye-catching additions to the renewed façade.
One of the first pieces of concept art shared by Disneyland Paris for the transformed Disney Village also showed a special façade feature inspired by Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. Teams are currently working on installing this element at Disney Wonders.
With the new Marvel artwork in place and more decorative features on the way, the shop is slowly starting to reveal its final appearance. We look forward to seeing the completed Disney Wonders in the near future.
