Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in Discoveryland will temporarily close in early October 2026 for a short refurbishment.
The attraction is scheduled to close on October 5, 2026, and is currently planned to reopen on October 17, 2026. Luckily, this will be a much shorter closure than last year, when the attraction was closed for around six months.
During the 2025 closure, the façade received a refurbishment, including a refreshed Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast sign and the iconic nearly two-meter-tall Buzz Lightyear statue.
Inside the building, teams from Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance, and Central Workshops worked closely together to restore this classic Discoveryland dark ride and bring its galaxy back to its former glory.
On the same day, October 5, La Tanière du Dragon, better known as the dragon underneath Sleeping Beauty Castle, will also close for five days.
Over at Disney Adventure World, Crush’s Coaster will also be closed, but this is a much longer refurbishment. The attraction is expected to remain closed until summer 2027.
