According to the official Disneyland Paris app, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant in Adventureland will temporarily close on September 8, 2026.
The restaurant is currently expected to reopen on October 15, 2026, meaning it will be closed for a little over one month.
At the moment, Disneyland Paris has not communicated the exact reason for this closure. However, we think it could be linked to the continued rollout of self-ordering kiosks, which are being introduced in more and more quick-service restaurants across Disneyland Paris.
So far, guests at Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant can still only place their order at the traditional cash registers.
A similar update recently happened at Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia, which was closed for several weeks for the installation of self-ordering kiosks. Extra kiosks have also been added to other restaurants in Disneyland Park, including Café Hyperion, following a successful test period.
The self-ordering kiosks are available in French, English, and Spanish, allowing guests to take their time browsing the menu and placing their order.
After payment, guests receive a receipt showing at which counter they can pick up their food. Digital screens above the counters then show the status of each order.
Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant is located in Adventureland, close to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. Guests can usually find dishes such as butter chicken or lentil dahl with naan and rice, pakora vegetable fritters, and several desserts.
The popular Mickey-shaped pizzas are also available at this location. They are the same pizzas served at Pizzeria Bella Notte, but the queue at Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant is often a little shorter.
In total, the restaurant is expected to be closed from September 8 through October 14, 2026, with a planned reopening on October 15, 2026.
