The south access to Disneyland Paris, located near Five Guys and Vapiano in Disney Village, was temporarily blocked yesterday evening for security reasons.
According to reports from the area, the access point to the Disney Parks & Disney Village was closed after several suspicious packages were discovered nearby. Military personnel under the Vigipirate security plan, police officers, Cast Members, and private security teams were all present on site.
As a precaution, Vapiano, Five Guys, the nearby entrance, and the Indigo car park remained closed for a while. This information was reported around 6:36 PM on August 26, 2026 by DLPWorks on X.
A loud explosion was later heard in the area, which caused concern among guests nearby, including families with children. The sound was reportedly linked to the security operation and the work of the disposal team.
The loud bang heard around 6:45 PM was a controlled detonation connected to the suspicious package investigation.
The area was reopened to guests shortly after the incident for Disneyland Paris guests, once security teams had completed their checks.
