The summer holidays are now well and truly over, as the month of September has arrived. And as tradition dictates, a new month also means a new pin trading release poster at Disneyland Paris.
This month’s poster is quite remarkable, as the majority of the releases are Limited Edition pins, with relatively few Open Edition pins. The downside of all these limited-edition pins is not only that they are much more expensive, but they also have to be reserved through Lineberty, meaning that many people don’t get the chance to buy them.
Let’s start with the first release on Saturday, September 5, where the back-to-school theme takes centre stage with four pins shaped like backpacks. Among the Limited Edition pins, we also see the continuation of an existing series. The Studio Princess series gets a new pin featuring Jasmine, while the Disney Tales of Magic series continues with another section of the castle.
Moving on to Saturday, September 12, we see a rather remarkable release with a very 90s-inspired look. These pins feature a design reminiscent of Nintendo’s classic Game Boy handheld console.
Then we jump ahead to Saturday, September 19. Here we see a few regular pins featuring Mickey & Minnie, as well as a couple of lanyards, nothing particularly special. This Saturday is mainly about the Limited Edition pins available through Lineberty.
No fewer than 12 pins will be released, all priced at €25 each. They feature Disney Characters in their different forms or appearances. For example, you have Ariel as a mermaid and Ariel as a human, or Tiana as a princess and then as a frog, and so on.
Looking towards the end of the month, the final release shows that Halloween is getting closer, with the first Halloween pins making their appearance. To round off the month, there will also be two more Limited Edition pins: one featuring Sorcerer Mickey and one featuring Kuzco.
