A new month is just around the corner, which means there is also a new pin trading release poster showing all the pins that will be released at Disneyland Paris over the next four weeks.
Since October is, of course, the month of Halloween, it is no surprise that we will also see several Halloween pins on the poster. And we are starting the month with quite a few of them.
During the first weekend, a whole range of Halloween pins will be released, including a booster set featuring several pins. One of them is a castle that looks suspiciously similar to the one at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. There will also be a pin featuring Donald, Chip and Dale. These pins are priced higher than some of the other open edition pins.
There are also two limited edition releases: one Halloween 2026 pin featuring Mickey, and a new pin from the Princess Studio series, this time featuring Ariel.
As always, limited edition pins have to be reserved in advance through Lineberty, which means they are not always easy to get. If there are any limited edition pins left over, perhaps because they were less popular, they can later become available to everyone in other shops.
There is also a particularly fun pin for the old-school pin collectors. Disney Pin Trading at Disneyland Paris will soon celebrate its 25th anniversary, having started back in 2001. To mark this, a classic Mickey pin will be released, featuring Mickey wearing a pin lanyard and carrying a pin bag.
During the second weekend of October, we are going back to Halloween with open edition pins featuring some of the Disney Villains. We will see Scar, Gaston, the Evil Queen and Ursula.
A limited edition Snow White pin will also be released during the same weekend.
Later in the month, we will get more limited edition pins, including one celebrating 85 years of Dumbo and another featuring Brother Bear.
There will also be a series of open edition pins featuring Disney characters from Dumbo and Coco.
The month will then be rounded off with some rather large Phantom Manor pins, priced at €25, €30 and €60. They are certainly expensive, but they will probably be very popular among collectors.
And on the very last day of the month, another limited edition pin will be released, this time featuring Hercules.
It really seems like the number of limited edition, and therefore more expensive, pins featured on these release posters keeps increasing. This month, there are no fewer than 10 limited edition pins, compared with just 11 open edition releases. And this was already becoming noticeable on the posters from previous months as well.
