During our latest visit to Disneyland Park, we spotted three small but noticeable updates in Discoveryland.
These are probably details that most occasional visitors would easily walk past, but for Disneyland Paris fans who visit the parks regularly, they definitely stand out.
A detail has been removed from the Space Mountain cannon
The visor has recently been removed from the Space Mountain cannon in Discoveryland.

It is currently unclear whether this is already connected to preparations for the future transformation of Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, which is set to close later in 2027 before Space Mountain returns with a new version inspired by De la Terre à la Lune.
It might seem a little early, but Imagineer Michel den Dulk already confirmed during D23 in Anaheim, California this summer that there are plans to fully restore the iconic cannon and bring its effects back to life.

Orbitron’s planets are spinning again
Another small effect we were happy to see working again can be found at Orbitron.
During our visit, all of the planets were once again spinning individually as originally intended. This effect is not always working and can easily go unnoticed, as the planets usually simply move along with the attraction without spinning on their own.
It is only a small detail, but it adds some extra movement to the attraction and the surrounding Discoveryland area.

Bubble effects return at Les Mystères du Nautilus
And there is more good news for Discoveryland effects. The bubbling effect in the water around Les Mystères du Nautilus is working much better again.
The bubbles were clearly visible during our latest visit, and it has been a very long time since we have seen the effect working this strongly.

Together with the working Orbitron planets, it is nice to see some of these smaller Discoveryland effects receiving some attention again.
