The drone show that wowed guests during the European Premiere of Avatar Fire and Ash in Paris has made its way to Disneyland Paris, and it’s only here for a very limited time!
From December 13 to December 17, guests can catch this impressive drone display in Walt Disney Studios Park. The show is fairly short, running at about five minutes, but it definitely leaves an impression. On December 13 and 14*, the show took place at 6:00 PM, while performances on December 15, 16, and 17 are scheduled for park closing time.
The stunning Avatar drone display was created by the Disneyland Paris drone team from the entertainment department, in collaboration with the resort’s technological partner, Dronisos.

Guests at Walt Disney Studios Park are seeing the exact same version that was performed during the European film premiere. During the show, the night sky comes alive with visuals inspired by Pandora, including Na’vi characters, floating mountains, banshees, an erupting volcano, and more. The show concludes with the logo of Avatar: Fire and Ash lighting up the sky.

Disney hasn’t confirmed how many drones are used for the Disneyland Paris version. However, according to Disney France, the original Paris version featured more than 3,000 drones.

To get the best viewing experience, guests are encouraged to watch from the former Hollywood Boulevard, now known as World Premiere Plaza. The drones fly above the future Disney Adventure World expansion, which is set to officially open on March 29, 2026.

This limited-time drone show is not listed in the Disneyland Paris app. Instead, guests are notified by an in-park announcement just a few minutes before the show begins.
It’s also important to note that the show is highly weather-dependent. On December 14, one performance was cancelled, likely due to foggy conditions.
Earlier in 2025, the Disneyland Paris teams also created a drone show to promote Captain America: Brave New World above Marvel Avengers Campus. Unfortunately, that show was never presented to guests.
