Since July 1, 2026, guests visiting Disneyland Park have been able to enjoy Sleeping Beauty’s Royal Waltz on The Royal Castle Stage.
Last year the Castle Stage area received a major refurbishment that lasted around 15 months. The stage itself was upgraded, but most noticeably, the backstage area of the Royal Castle seems to have received a big update as well.
Since the transformation, only one small-scale show had taken place here before: Tinker Bell’s Enchanted Calendar. That show was around seven minutes long and started with a short introduction in English and French, together with some light effects. After that, Tinker Bell appeared on stage in her parade outfit, danced briefly to music from The Nutcracker, and opened the Advent calendar door of the day.
This summer, we are getting a more complete show on the Royal Castle Stage, with a duration of around 15 minutes.
Sleeping Beauty’s Royal Waltz is performed several times per day and features Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip, Flora, Fauna, Merryweather, and four Disney Princesses. The princesses can vary depending on the day.
So the show mainly uses characters who also appear in Disney Stars on Parade, before returning later in the day for another appearance on the Castle Stage.
The decorations on the stage itself are not very impressive, and it does feel like this was a rather last-minute addition to the summer entertainment line-up.
The communication around this show has also been quite strange. It was only announced two days in advance through a small mention on the Disneyland Pass Instagram page.
The showtimes had not been added at the time of writing this blog post. They are currently not listed in the official Disneyland Paris app and are not mentioned on the information boards near the Castle Stage.
Reportedly, the show has three performances, taking place at 14:55, 16:10, and 16:45. This could be a good indication of when the show may take place when you visit Disneyland Paris this summer.
Please note that because the showtimes are not officially listed, the schedule could change, or the show could be cancelled without prior notice. There are also no Guest Flow cast members during the show.
This summer is almost completely focused on the Disney Princesses. From July 24, 2026, the brand-new Disney Princess Cavalcade will also debut in Disney Adventure World, featuring Vaiana, Raya, Rapunzel, and Tiana.
On top of that, World Princess Week will return from August 16 to 22, 2026.
