Disneyland Paris has now officially confirmed that Rainforest Café in Disney Village will permanently close later this year.
Rumours about the restaurant’s future have been circulating for quite some time, with information reportedly coming from members of the restaurant team. Until now, however, Disneyland Paris itself had never publicly confirmed the closure.
During a presentation today about the ongoing Disney Village transformation, Disneyland Paris confirmed that Rainforest Café will close later this year. An exact closing date has not yet been announced.
At the same time, Casa Giulia, the new Italian restaurant currently being created on the former Planet Hollywood site, is preparing to open nearby. Both Rainforest Café and Casa Giulia are operated by Bertrand Hospitality.

When will Rainforest Café close?
Earlier rumours suggested that Rainforest Café could close in September. More recent rumours now point to a closure sometime in November, but this has not been confirmed by Disneyland Paris.
During today’s presentation, the message was basically clear: if you still want to visit Rainforest Café, now is the time to do it.

The end of a longtime Disney Village restaurant
Rainforest Café has been part of Disney Village for many years and is known for its immersive jungle setting, large animal figures, sound effects and animatronics.
Unfortunately, the restaurant has received relatively little investment in recent years. Several effects and animatronics have stopped working or no longer move as they once did, making the restaurant feel increasingly dated compared with newer additions arriving in Disney Village.
For now, Rainforest Café remains open, but its days are officially numbered. We’ll keep you updated once Disneyland Paris confirms the final closing date.
