Virtual Queue Changes After the Christmas Season
Now that the Christmas season has come to an end, a few changes have taken place across Disneyland Paris, especially when it comes to entertainment and character meet-and-greets. Disney Stars on Parade has officially returned, and guests may also notice some adjustments to which Disney characters are currently available to meet in the parks.
There have also been updates to the Virtual Queue in the official Disneyland Paris app. This system, which allows guests to reserve a time slot to meet certain characters, was first introduced with the opening of the Super Hero Training Center in Avengers Campus.
Last year, it was expanded to several additional locations across both Disney Parks.
Back in November, we reported that Starport: A Star Wars Encounter in Discoveryland, located near Star Tours, had been removed from the Virtual Queue system.

Disneyland Paris has now reversed that decision. From now on, guests once again need to register via the app to access Starport. At this location, you can usually meet Darth Vader, with occasional appearances by other Star Wars characters such as Chewbacca or Rey.

Another change involves the Olaf meet and greet at Animation Celebration. This location previously used a Virtual Queue, but from November 26, 2025, until January 6, 2026, Olaf was temporarily replaced by Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps as part of the promotion for Zootopia 2.

During that period, the meet and greet used a classic standby queue. Now that Olaf has returned, the location will continue to operate with a regular standby line rather than a Virtual Queue.

If you are wondering where Virtual Queues are still in use, here is the current list at the time of writing.
- Meet Mickey at Phantom Manor
- Princess Pavilion
- Marvel Super Hero Heroic Encounter (Hero Training Center)
- Spider-Man Heroic Encounter (Hero Training Center)
- Starport: A Star Wars Encounter
As always, availability can change, so it is recommended to check the official Disneyland Paris app for the most up-to-date information on character appearances.

Looking ahead, when World of Frozen opens in Disney Adventure World (currently Walt Disney Studios Park) on March 29 2026, the new Anna and Elsa meet and greet will also be added to the Virtual Queue system.
